Rome Art and Community Center, Rome's only multi-arts facility, offers both cultural and community programming at little or no cost to the public. Since 1967 RACC has worked to foster creativity, cultural awareness, community enrichment, and children's education through unique opportunities to experience art on a very personal level. Our goal is to make arts and education programing available to everyone regardless of age, race, economic status, or physical ability.
The Owl and The Silver Moon learning academy teaches kids through the Lens of the Arts. The goals of the OSM is to create a joyous passion for learning. Art projects not only allow kids to bring their imagination to life they stimulate problem solving skills, promote self expression and self esteem, develops fine motor skills, spatial processing, memory, and self control. All while connecting them to the world through the universal language of art. Children, full of curiosity and wonder, with a tremendous sense of adventure. When this is mixed with art it creates life long learners.

Artletics is our one of a kind summer camp that sparks year-round learning opportunities, while having fun. We combined the creativity of Fine Arts, the energy of Drama, and the excitement of Athletics to create days and weeks that will last in children's memories forever. We offer eight weeks of Artletics withe different themes each week, so children can join us for one week or all eight. With the generosity of our supporters and sponsors we are able to offer scholarships to our qualifying children, ensuring the arts are available to everyone!!
RACC also holds numerous exhibitions for local artists to display their work in our galleries. With opening receptions for each giving you a chance to meet the artist while enjoying the first night of the exhibit.
Throughout the year, thanks to our community and sponsors generous support we are able to offer FREE concerts featuring our very talented local musicians. We are lucky to offer classical music by the Alliance Classical Players, bluegrass with the Mohawk Valley Bluegrass Association, jazz with Collage Jazz Combo and much more.
