Rome Art & Community Center plays an important role in fostering creativity, cultural awareness, and a strong community connection through a broad range of arts and culture programming and services to the Greater Rome community and Oneida County, from children to seniors.


2023 was a great year at The Art Center and 2024 is looking to be an even better year. We were fortunate to have strong and growing attendance for all of our events last year and are looking forwarding to expanding what we offer to our community. Some of the events we offer are art exhibitions, children’s events, arts classes, free concerts, and strong educational programs that teach thought the lens of arts. In 2024 we will be adding Market, Music, and More... an event designed to bring the entire community together every Monday during the summer by having a farmers market, food trucks, live music, and children’s activities.

In order to achieve our mission and continue our programming we rely heavily on the support we receive from our members, volunteers, and our gracious sponsors. Every sponsorship allows us to provide the community with more opportunities to ”Step Into The Arts”, offer many of our events for FREE, and offer scholarships to our various school break and summer arts camps. Ensuring that everyone regardless of age, race, economic status, or physical ability can “Step Into The Arts”!

Event description: With our FREE concert series having such a great turnout and response last summer, we have decided to make it bigger and better this year! Starting in the Summer of 2024 we will be holding our Market, Music, and More… every Monday. This will be an evening the entire community can look forward to all summer long. With live music, a farmers market, food trucks, and children’s activities we will have something for everyone in our community.

Event description: Every November RACC transforms the architectural masterpiece that is the Carpenter House into the beloved tradition, Holiday House. Adorned with decorations, trees, lights, and a little holiday magic the majestic Tudor mansion is a sight to be seen. This event is one of The Center’s largest fundraisers of the year. It allows us to provide numerous community activities including FREE summer concerts, music, stories, and art for kids, dinner concerts, summer camp, pre-k and so much more. Once the stage is set over 40 vendors move their products into the house for a two weekend long shopping extravaganza that supports not only The Art Center but numerous local businesses. These two weekends draw over 800 people each year.

Event description: The Gala serves as the opening reception for Holiday House. The Gala is an elegant evening filled with live music, wine and hors d’oeuvres. It is a night that everyone looks forward to, and for many, it is considered the beginning of the holiday season in Rome. The Gala is an elegant affair that draws about 250 people for the evening, including many local business people and officials.

Event description: Sip Into Spring is a wonderful evening where guests stroll through the Center and grounds listening to live music and enjoying the beautiful rooms, architecture & art on display. Fine wines, local craft beer, handmade chocolates, cheeses, desserts & food pairings are showcased, and sampled by guests as we welcome summer.

Event description: This series consists of three (3) evenings of dinner and music. Guests will dine on cuisine catered by local restaurants before adjourning to the living room for an evening of music from a variety of music styles. These evenings bring the best of the tradition of chamber music evenings to the RACC.

Event description: This series consists of three (3) free children’s concerts offered in partnership with Alliance Classical Players. Children will engage in listening to a story, hearing music meant to bring the story to life, and create their own art project. It is a great event to open the world of the arts to the children of the Greater Rome Community.

Art Exhibit Series

Event description: With three galleries focused on exhibiting artwork by regional artists, the RACC hosts multiple opening receptions a year, and is open to visitors daily Monday through Friday.
