Sponsor an Artletics Summer Camper Today!!

Rome Art & Community Center plays an important role in fostering creativity, cultural awareness, and a strong community connection through a broad range of arts and culture programming and services to the Greater Rome Area and Oneida County communities. One of our main focuses is on children’s arts education. Research shows that arts programming promotes capacity building and skills development and has been found to reduce anxiety, depression, and emotional alienation while increasing self-esteem, cultural empathy, and confidence.

RACC strives to ensure that all children in our community has the opportunity to “Step Into The Arts”. In order to achieve this mission and continue our programming, we have relied heavily on the support we receive from grants, and our gracious sponsors. For nearly two decades we have been able to offer tuition scholarships to our Artletics Summer Camp allowing children, no matter the economic background, to benefit from this enriching summer program. Scholarships have accounted for between 51%-65% of attendance each week. Due to reduced funding in a grant program this year we are reaching out to the community to ensure that we can still offer as many scholarships as we have in the past.

This year you can sponsor a camper! Your generosity will ensure that every child can enjoy/benefit from this amazing arts based summer camp! The sponsorship fee for one week of camp, for one child, is $170; or you can sponsor a child for the entire eight week session for $1,360.

Rome Art and Community Center, (RACC) is Rome’s only multi-arts facility offering both cultural and community programming at little or no cost to the public. RACC welcomes almost 5,000 visitors annually including visitors from all over the US. RACC is committed to making programming accessible to all; regardless of age, race, economic status, or physical ability.

RACC offers unique opportunities to experience the arts on a very personal level, whether it be through hands-on instruction; a quiet walk through a serene gallery space; or, even as a part of a large community event. RACC is proud to have been a part of the Rome Community since 1967; impacting the lives of children, teens, and adults every year since.

Rome Art and Community Center's programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. The RACC's programs are also made possible by the City of Rome, NY.
